About the Marinette County Historical Society
The Marinette County Historical Society was founded in 1932 by a dedicated group of local historians. The founders as well as subsequent members have been active in conducting research, providing information to the public and stimulating interest in the multi-cultural heritage of the area.
Today the society is as vital as ever. Its projects include advocacy for historical preservation, educational outreach, publications, operation of a museum, and historical resource to the community.
Membership is open to people of all ages who have an interest in history. While the Society encourages active participation in the research and preservation of our rich heritage, we welcome those who prefer to provide moral and financial support through their membership.
